Easter 2012

EASTER MESSAGE

Mathew 28:5-6
And the angel answered & said to the woman, fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for He is risen.

ACTING PRIMATE

Jesus Christ is Risen today. He is alive. One who believes that Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and now sitteth on the right hand of God Almighty, and one day He will come again to take His believers that all who believes in Him shall live with Him for ever and ever, is CHRISTAN in reality.

Now - a- days people celebrate Easter according to their belief and their religious denominations. Christians commemorate Good Friday as the day that Jesus died and Easter Sunday as the day that He resurrected.

God sent His Word in a form of a child, being born to Mary the Virgin, as God’s only begotten Son. He was crucified; nailed, wore thorn Crown, and was pierced in His Bosom and Holy precious Blood flowed covering all our sins which washed them away and lo our sins rolled away so far away as East is to West. Only thing is confession of sin. Any one who believes in Jesus Christ is our Redeemer; Jesus is sufficient to clean his soul and body and makes him pure like a child to enter into Heaven. He died, descended into Hell and rose on the third day and that is Easter, our Belief. Many saw Him, met Him, He talked and walked with many, ate roasted fish with His disciples etc.

BUT, Thomas didn’t believe. Jesus suddenly appeared in midst of all disciples, and asked Thomas to see His wounds. Thomas felt sorry. Jesus blessed every one there gave peace to them. All were very happy to see Jesus but suspicious also, as even today many are suspicious. They see Jesus Christ from the Science point of view. They say Disciples might have stolen Jesus body or He might be fainted and so many sayings are there in the world about Jesus.

BUT again we are proud to say our loving Lord Jesus Christ arose from the Dead and ascended into Heaven in front of the crowed and two angels who told them: as you see Jesus going to Heaven one day you’ll see Him coming on clouds to Judge. As Jesus died we die with Him and as Jesus arose from the dead and lives we also live with Him and will live with Him for ever.

SO, we are waiting for Him to come for second time. When He will come like a king. Those who crucified Him, pierced, mocked, spate and beat will regret and ask sorry and will kneel down in front of Him.

Now we have to judge ourselves, in which queue are we. Are we ready to go with Jesus on cloud? This Easter we have to decide. This Easter may be special for all of us.

The Traditional Anglican Communion welcome to all Faithful to enjoy A VERY HAPPY Easter and to greet to every one who reads this message.

GOOD FRIDAY MESSAGE

May this Holy Week and Good Friday be Blessed to all of you.

Good Friday was the day of agreement between the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom. Some call it Belfast Agreement or Stormont Agreement. It was inter-related Document signed by both the parties on 10 April 1998.

I remember it the day of appointment as Metropolitan of Anglican Church of India (CIPBC).

What is Good Friday?
Good Friday is for all of us. It was planned by God. As we know in "John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." Man used to sacrifice animals like lambs, goats, oxen, hens etc to God for his Sin. Many still do this. But by God's grace Jesus Christ was sent in this world who was crucified by His own people. So on this day we commemorate the passion or sufferings and death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. This is the day when we observe fasting, prayer, repentance and meditation about our beloved Christ's death on the Cross.

Who is Jesus Christ?
Many think He was mere a common man or good man or preacher but those who experienced Him or saw him know better than that of us that Jesus is our best friend, our counselor our redeemer who shed his blood to cleanse our sins and souls and promised us to give us eternal lives in heaven and gave us authority to be called sons and daughters of God and gave a status equal to Him to be His brothers and sisters.

In the beginning God created man in His image and poured Holy Spirit in him that man may be Holy as God had great expectations from him. We know how the devil worked to destroy His work. So God sent Jesus Christ to be crucified on the Cross to continue His relationship with men forever. The circumstances divided us are both wide and deep. We inherit fatal defect at birth, as result we live our lives independently from God. The Bible says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The sin separated us from God. It keeps us in such a situation that has no spirituality, no Christian fellowship, no hope for everlasting life. This is promise of God who so ever believes in His begotten son Jesus Christ, shall not perish but have eternal life.

What a hope in Jesus! Third Day He Rose from the dead so we celebrate Easter.

See the scene of Jesus on Cross on this Good Friday from where He is calling 7 words for us where we keep our selves? We have to judge our selves. Are we utilizing His sacrifice His Calling from the Cross? He needs our souls to be cleansed from His flowing blood, Are we ready to be with Him when He comes on clouds to take us away with Him for ever?

This Good Friday we have to think again should we continue separating us from God's grace as all of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong, which is called sin. Our sins have separated us from God. That's why God sent His son Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we have Everlasting life in our Lord Jesus Christ.

May God be with you and bless you for the Holy Week, specially on this Good Friday and remember the sufferings of Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross for our sake and His comfortable Words to save us who believe on Him.

LENT MESSAGE

Lent is the Christian season of preparation of Easter Ash Wednesday on 22nd February 2012 has given us opportunity to meditate and receive spiritual strength. This is the first day of Lent which begins 40 days prior to Easter.

The Lent days are very important part in Christian life. The Lord Jesus Christ has put example for all Christians to observe in fasting, tolerance and prayer. This is the time to remember His sacrifice and sufferings, his life, seven words from cross, His death, burial and resurrection.

The Bible does not teach us customs of Lent, however, the practice of repentance and mourning in Ashes is found in 2 Samuel 13:19, Esther 4:1, Job 2:8, Daniel 9:3 and Mathew 11:21.

We live in sinful life which we commit through words, thoughts and deeds. Our desire is to come out of sinful life. There is no way to come out of our sins but only way to believe in God through His Son Jesus Christ. He is the only way to wash us and give peace and happiness of life. Follow Christ Jesus and put your burden on him. He is the only way to keep you away from sin and measurable life. He has promised to provide everlasting life after death. Come near to Christ during this Lenten season and get peace and everlasting life.

BRIEF HISTORY OF ANGLICAN CHURCH OF INDIA (C.I.P.B.C.)
The Church of India (CIPBC) (formerly the Church of England in India) is the original Anglican Church in India. The Anglican presence in India dates back four hundred years ago to 1600, when Queen Elizabeth I, was still on the throne of England. From that time until within living memory British Chaplains and missionaries arrived in ever increasing number, and were territory included not only India the first to minister to the expatriate British community and later to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Indian people themselves.

For the next ninety years that is until 1927 the Church of India was a Province of the Church of England, under the authority of the Crown and the British Parliament. Arising from the enactment of the Indian Church Measure, 1927 and the Indian Church Act, 1927 for the dissolution of its legal connection with the Church of England, the Church of India, Burma and Ceylon formed the ecclesiastical Province. It was the time it governed by its own very comprehensive “Constitution, Canons and Rules are binding on all members of the Anglican Church of India, that is all the clergy and lay people as well. It was the Government Church under Ecclesiastical department and Crown was the trustee of the Anglican Church.    more...
